What it does

Tap anywhere, hop there

Touch a stone, log or lily pad and the cat springs to it. The whole river is the control — nothing is drawn over the board.

Five times of day

Every crossing changes the light: morning mist, bright noon, golden hour, a moonlit pond alive with fireflies, and a monsoon downpour.

Hitch a ride

Coloured turtles paddle the current. Wait on a safe stone, time your jump, ride one across — and sometimes it’s the only way over.

Read the water

Frogs bump you off, lily pads sink and surface, herons stalk and pikes ambush from below — and a kingfisher’s shadow sweeps in before it dives.

One-way gauntlets

Deeper crossings pinch to a single route you beat with timing and nerve. No safe detour — just the gap, and the count you learn.

A fire to come home to

Reach the far bank and she curls up by the fire, purring, while your run is tallied on the wall. Then the next crossing begins.
